Tournament Money

The new functionality adds a separate tournament money balance, allowing you to use it for tournament registration (and re-entry, rebuy, addon) instead of their real cash balance. The tournament money can be used in all multi-table tournaments (MTTs) and Sit & Go tournaments (SnGs).

  • you can use tournament money to register for Twister tournaments but cannot win tournament money rewards from Twister tournaments.
  • the Tournament Money is not available for Mystery Bounty tournaments.
You can use tournament money to register for any tournament that accepts cash registration as a buy-in method (regardless of whether the tournament is set with a tournament money prize). When you with tournament money tries to register for a tournament, your tournament money is used instead of their real cash, given that you do not have another acceptable buy-in method with higher priority, such tournament tickets.

In this way, if you do not have enough tournament money to cover the entire registration fee, the system uses all available tournament money and covers the remaining part with your real cash. Be aware that tournament money can only be combined with real cash; the tournament money cannot be combined with tournament tickets.

  • The tournament money cannot be withdrawn or converted to real cash.
  • The tournament money does not have an expiration date.
  • The Tournament Money functionality is supported in all Poker clients (desktop, mobile, web).
When functionality is active, a tournament money indication appears in all views/popups where tournament money can be used or won. Tournament money is indicated with “T” followed by the currency sign, for instance, tournament money is indicated as “T€”. You can see tournament money balance next to real money balance (1). On click/tap on your tournament money balance (Download Desktop client) or on the Info icon next to the tournament money balance (Native Mobile and Web clients), a popup with information about the functionality appears (2)

When the prize pool of the respective tournament is set in tournament money, the Poker clients indicate this in all relevant places.

  • In the views containing MTTs, the prize pool column/section shows the prize in tournament money (3).
  • In the lobbies of tournaments rewarding tournament money, all relevant fields indicate the tournament money prize type (4).

In case your tournament money balance does not cover the entire tournament buy-in, the system uses all available tournament money and covers the remaining part of the buy-in fee with your real cash. Example: The buy-in cost of a regular multi-table tournament is €10. You have €7 in tournament money (T€7) and €30 in real money. When you try to register for the 10 Euro MTT, the system uses the available T€7 and covers the remaining €3 from the real cash balance.

When you register for a tournament granting tournament money prize, and the tournament begins, there are no gameplay changes except the indication of tournament money in all relevant places on the poker tables.

In addition to the above-mentioned changes, you will be able to check tournament money transaction history in the newly added Tournament Money section within the History page. The new Tournament Money section works in the same way as the other history views. The only difference is that the Tournament Money section allows the players to specify the tournament money transaction type:

  • All transactions (Any option).
  • Won tournament money (Win option).
  • Tournament money received as bonus or refund (Bonus and Refund options, respectively).
  • Tournament money spent for registration, addons, and rebuys (Registration, Addon, and Rebuy options, respectively).
